Solution to Repair Laptop Internal Fans That Don't Work
The internal fan on a laptop is part of the cooling system that keeps the CPU and GPU to remain cool and protect from excessive heat. This internal laptop cooling fan pulls the air from the air vent located at the bottom of the engine and removes the hot air out of both sides of the left or right.
In this tutorial, we will teach you how to repair a laptop fan if it doesn't rotate at startup. If the fan stops spinning then your laptop cooling system will die, so this can increase the temperature on the CPU and motherboard.

Wrong position
You have to put your laptop according to the recommended position and don't use it on your lap. A flat surface is highly recommended because in most cases, the laptop fan won't work after you boot up the laptop. There is no reason why the fan stopped suddenly after booting up. In this case, you have to turn off the laptop and then start again after 2-3 minutes. The fan will start working.
Most dust

You should clean the fan with laptop dismantling and cleaning the fan blades to remove dust. The fan must be cleaned once every 3 years and if you need to replace it with a new one.
Don't clean the fan with a compression machine
We can blow compressed air on the laptop fan through ventilation to remove dust. But compressed air can sometimes be a case where the fan becomes jammed. High pressure applied by compressed air fans can leave it in a state of jam.
Error on the motherboard
Sometimes the fan stops when the laptop is working but fails to operate because of the mistake of a small motherboard like a damaged capacitor (bad capacitor). This capacitor provides the strength needed for the fan to operate. Bad capacitors can be identified with visual examinations, the top of the bad capacitor always stands out, therefore, you can check it by opening a laptop.
Low battery
When the percentage of laptop batteries reaches less than 20% then the internal fan will automatically stop due to low power. This problem is rare but when it happens it can damage the motherboard and CPU because it is too hot. After all, the cooling system stops temporarily because the battery is very low.
If this problem occurs with you, immediately then turn off the system. Remove the battery and reinstall the battery. Install the charger on your laptop and turn it on. Fill in the battery or up to 50% before turning back and in the future make sure to always plug in the charger when the battery level reaches 30%.
Electric current is not stable
Sometimes the laptop fan stops spinning. This might occur due to electric current fluctuations, resulting in a fully failed fan. A quick reboot will fix the problem. Every time the fan stops rotating, your internal notebook temperature will rise to 65 degrees and the bottom of the notebook will heat up.
If you see this, immediately turn off the laptop and start again to remove excess heat.
How to know if the fan laptop works with software
You can use the speccy hardware application or CPU temp to monitor the temperature on Windows. This software will tell the temperature of the laptop hardware according to its use. At present most laptops have Intel Core i3 processors including, i5 and i7. So this IDLE CPU temperature might reach 40 degrees. So if speccy shows 40 degrees then this means the fan works correctly. Other processors such as Intel Core 2 Duo have a temperature range of 28-40 degrees.
Another way is to put your ear close to air ventilation which is well located on the left or right side. You can listen to air blowing and feel the air coming out of the ventilation. If you don't feel any air and don't hear any sound then don't worry because the laptop fan runs at a different speed. At the lowest speed, you cannot detect work.
You can run games that can increase CPU usage. When the game starts, the fan will start spinning at high speed and blowing hot air that can be felt by hand. If the laptop fan does not rotate at the bottom of the laptop (or where the CPU is located), then it will become hot, this can be easily felt by touching the laptop's body.
